Danita Chandler
Born and raised in Portland, Danita is the owner and a teacher at Portland Pilates StudioTM. She completed the Core Dynamics Pilates certification program lead by Michele Larsson and has been teaching since 1999. Competitive swimming through college, playing competitive water polo and racing downhill skiing have given Danita a solid athletic base to support her Pilates work. Danita works with a wide variety of people including adults, children and special needs individuals such as Multiple Sclerosis, Parkinson's and Scoliosis. In addition to her regular Pilates practices, Danita is an avid rock climber and cyclist.
"Through Pilates I have found the greatest understanding and awareness to my body, which has made me a healthier person inside and out. I wish I had had this information while I was young. My goal is to share this with as many people as possible, making a difference in the world by creating a positive influence through positive,conscious movement."

Debra Burchiel
Debra graduated from the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center in 1983 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing. Her experience as a Surgical Nurse and Operating Nurse Manager has given her insight into health care and the training of others. Debra was trained through the Core Dynamics program and has been teaching Pilates since January 2007. She feels that Pilates coupled with her past nursing skills has brought her a strong understanding of physical health, strength and balance. She would like to share this with others through her teaching. In addition to Pilates instruction to the general population, Debra also specializes in teaching clients with Parkinson’s Disease, senior adults, and those with other health challenges.
“I am continuously striving for balance in my life. I believe that, through Pilates, I am closer to obtaining both emotional and physical balance than ever before. I would like to share this with others.”
Greta Pauley Greta Pauley is a fully certified Pilates Instructor. She received her certification from Pilates Academy International, the educational branch of Pilates on Fifth/Pilates Center of New York. Greta recently moved back to Portland after eight years in New York City. She believes that Pilates can improve one’s life in many ways…by taking inches off the waist, making you stand taller and getting rid of the aches and pain of living in today’s world. In addition to Pilates, Greta is also a certified CardiolatesTM instructor.
